Process for glass foam manufacturing

TROVOtech produces chemically and physically modified porous glass particles on the basis of a world’s first – by means of a high-temperature extruder – under the product name TROVO®powder.

The microparticles produced by grinding the extruded glass foam improve the properties of plastics as functional additives. These include halogen- and phosphorus-free flame retardants. Other products from the company are used for antimicrobial finishing of plastics, paints and fibers, while others can improve mechanical properties of certain plastic systems.
