Intercity bus GDS Distribusion integrates major German bus operator Postbus

Direct ticket booking of Postbus for websites and travel agencies

Berlin, 5th February 2016 – The second largest German bus operator Postbus cooperates with the intercity bus GDS Distribusion (www.distribusion.com). All their bus rides to more than 120 destinations will now be bookable for websites, OTAs and travel agencies connected to Distribusion.

With the new cooperation, Postbus gets connected to multiple online and offline sales channels. Online channels get access through the Distribusion Booking API while travel agencies can make use of a new agency booking tool. They are now able to sell tickets of Postbus and more than 50 other European bus operators to their customers and benefit from attractive commissions.

Extension of sales mix
Managing director of Deutsche Post Mobility GmbH Marc Fleischhauer explains: “Due to the collaboration with Distribusion we gain access to a global reservation system and therewith the possibility to extend our sales mix by another important channel.”

Distribusion CEO Julian Hauck is convinced that both companies will benefit: „We are glad and look forward to the new partnership with Postbus. We are convinced that Postbus will benefit from the additional coverage through our partner network.“
