bmp Portfolio Day 2026

bmp Ventures_Portfolio Day

We empower tech companies. And that was at the heart of this year’s bmp Portfolio Day.

On September 3, 2026, more than 100 guests from our portfolio, our network and the startup and tech community came together at SaltLabs in Halle – for an evening filled with valuable insights, personal stories and great conversations.

Program & Highlights:

Following the welcome by Ywes Israel and the keynote by Stefanie Pötzsch, State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Chairwoman of the IBG Supervisory Board, we joined Jan Alberti in looking back at the developments across our portfolio.

We reflected on new investments, key milestones across our portfolio and the developments that have shaped us as an investor. Of course, we also looked ahead: our pipeline already includes a number of exciting opportunities and investments that we are looking forward to in the coming months. We also shared a first look at the events and formats planned for the year ahead.

A special highlight was our Founder Q&A:

Felix Nelles from Litherm, Erik May from byte robotics and Thomas Hoffmann from RAYDIAX joined our moderators Jan Alberti and Ywes Israel on stage and shared personal insights into their entrepreneurial journeys.
From their early steps and key milestones to their collaboration with bmp Ventures and the IBG funds, current challenges and their next goals, the conversation once again showed how different the paths of our portfolio companies can be – and how much they have in common.
A big thank you to Felix, Erik and Thomas for your openness and the great insights!

Wrapping up:

And then, as so often at our Portfolio Day, came the part we enjoy just as much: over good food, drinks and a relaxed atmosphere, there was plenty of time for conversations, new connections and catching up with familiar faces.

If we are honest, our Portfolio Day has by now started to feel a little like a big family reunion. People who accompany us in different ways come together, exchange ideas, get to know each other and reconnect – and, above all, experience what makes our network so special.

This exchange is an important part of what „we empower tech companies“ means to us.

A heartfelt thank you to all our guests, speakers, moderators and partners who made this evening so special.

The highlights of the evening are captured in our recap:
