recalm secures 3 million euros for the expansion of its audio and communication solutions for machine operators

recalm

Hamburg, March 24, 2025 – recalm GmbH secures an investment of over 3 million euros in a series A financing round. The investment is being made by the IBG Venture Capital Fund IV, managed by bmp Ventures AG, as well as by SymbiaVC, the VC investment arm of the Barbara Peifer Private Foundation, and by the existing investors Silvercrown Capital SE, the investment arm of Bernard Krone Holding SE & Co. KG and GREENEERING INVEST AG. The investment will enable recalm to further advance its vision of transforming noise into sound and to establish its own production site in Barleben near Magdeburg (Sachsen-Anhalt).

Growing demand and listings with renowned machine manufacturers such as Sennebogen, Kaiser and Menzi Muck have made this step necessary. In the future, purchasing, production and logistics will be bundled in a 800-square-meter hall. At the same time, the Hamburg site will remain the center for research and development of ANCOR technology. ANCOR technology forms the basis for the continuous further development of recalm’s software solution. As an extension of the existing product portfolio, the software will be launched as the ANCOR Custom 2026 cab integration solution with leading construction and agricultural machinery manufacturers such as Maschinenfabrik Bernard Krone GmbH.

Investment underlines market maturity and acceptance

“With the support of SymbiaVC and bmp Ventures, we are setting a milestone in Barleben for sustainable production and strategic growth. Our high level of development in the hardware and software sector is optimally expanded by our own production. This is how we ensure the highest quality at the best possible prices. This investment is a clear sign of the market readiness and acceptance of our product solution and brings us closer to our goal of transforming the industry with future-oriented solutions.” – Marc von Elling, CEO recalm.

Eike Böljes Eike Böljes from bmp Ventures adds: “There is a tremendous amount of noise in driver cabs, while at the same time there is an increasing need for communication – recalm solves these two challenges with its unique ANCOR audio system. By using active noise canceling and high-quality communication technology, workflows are optimized and the health of machine operators is protected. We at bmp are pleased to be able to support recalm in the transformation of construction, agricultural and forestry machinery.”

SymbiaVC’s investment underscores its enthusiasm for recalm’s product solutions. As a satisfied customer, Pfeifer has already benefited from the advantages of the technology in material handling on Sennebogen machines, and the investment underscores its confidence in the company and its further growth potential. A user behavior statistic shows that Pfeifer Group operators use radio for 4.8% of their working time. With the new ANCOR radio module, they have gained an average of 23 minutes of efficiency per day, as machine work cycles do not need to be interrupted when using the radio. This corresponds to 9 working days per year.

With this investment, recalm strengthens its market position for audio and communication solutions in driver cabs. The partnership with bmp Ventures and SymbiaVC also strengthens industry expertise, valuable networks and operational support to scale serial production and business development by integrating the software solution.
