Looking Back at bmp Portfolio Day 2024: A Successful and Inspiring Event!
On September 5, 2024, our annual bmp Portfolio Day took place in Magdeburg – an event that once again brought together numerous investors, founders, companies, and partners. With summer temperatures and the picturesque setting of MückenWirt right on the banks of the Elbe, it provided the perfect opportunity to showcase our portfolio and offer valuable insights into the latest developments of our portfolio companies.
Stefanie Pötzsch, The Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of IBG and State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry emphasized the importance of innovation and investment in the state of Saxony-Anhalt during her welcome address.
Managing Partner Dr. Jan Alberti provided a concise summary outlining the past year and the current activities of bmp Ventures.
Under the motto „Venture Capital in Saxony-Anhalt: Challenging, Exciting, and Truly Successful“ three of our current portfolio companies presented their development to date.
IMERO: Jonas Schenk Jonas Schenk presented the no-code platform with which they are revolutionizing the management of physical products through NFC technology.
Paxly: Torsten Beyenbach spoke about the challenges of the founding process and PAXLY’s innovative solutions in packaging procurement.
OXID eSales: Henry Göttler delivered an engaging and entertaining presentation on the journey of OXID eSales.
Another highlight of the evening: The firsthand account from Prof. Dr. Danilo Beuche of the journey from founding pure-systems to its successful exit to PTC Inc. after 22 years.
Many thanks to our speakers of the evening for the valuable insights into their current projects and future plans.
These presentations impressively demonstrated how innovative and dynamic the companies in our region are.
After the presentations, guests had ample opportunity to engage in conversations, expand personal networks, and discuss potential collaborations—all in a relaxed atmosphere over good food and wine.
